Let's start this off with a quote..
"In order to know where you're going, you must respect where you've been."
Back in 2006, we find 3 individuals (1st Sun 5th Child, Blacmav & Undaman) at various stages in their lives in Richmond, Virginia. '3916' was the apartment complex where they resided on Chamberlayne Avenue in the Northside area. Most days were uneventful until a quick hallway conversation revealed that Undaman & Blacmav stayed directly across the hall from 1st Sun 5th Child. 'Mav' had previously acquired some 'free' music software and gave a copy to Undaman. Undaman in turn, slid '1st Sun' a copy and the rest is history...well sorta.
As time would have it, they each moved on but managed to keep in touch through the exchange of music they created, further strengthening their bond. Fast forward years later with the advancement of technology, they began to send each other musical ideas via email. The fact that they each worked with the same music program, ideas began to blossom with relative ease. (shout to the Propellerheads out there, lol)
Now in 2018, we still find them working on music here and there but relatively unknown to the general public.. that is until a random IG post from Blacmav that showcased the result of some collective ideas and a call to arms, so to speak. After a few talks, they decided to record a song with intention, which morphed into a full blown project. However due to life's demands this proved to be challenging, but luckily these guys were up for the task. Two years later upon the dawn of a new decade and complete project they are finally ready for you to hear what they have to say.
Here it is.
3916.
Enjoy.
